A New Chapter for Arbor Architects
We’re excited to announce a significant milestone and share important news about the future of Arbor Architects.
After many years helping to grow and shape Arbor Architects alongside co-founder Elly, Matt and Rachel will be stepping down from their roles as directors in July to relocate to Devon to be closer to extended family. Matt and Rachel will be establishing a new studio in Devon where they will continue to champion sustainable architecture and design. Matt and Rachel will continue in their current roles with Arbor Architects until July and will then continue to support ongoing projects as consultants remotely before concluding their work with the practice later in the year.
This transition marks an exciting new phase for both Arbor Architects and Matt and Rachel. While we will greatly miss working alongside them day-to-day, we are immensely proud of what we have accomplished together and look forward to following the next chapter of their journey.
Arbor Architects remains strongly positioned for the future. We are as committed as ever to delivering inspiring, low-energy buildings, working collaboratively with clients and communities through our values-driven approach. Our team is strong, passionate, and ready to take Arbor into its next phase with the same care, creativity, and values that have always been at the heart of our work.
As part of this next chapter, we are delighted to announce that Kirk Rushby will be joining Arbor Architects in July as an Associate. Kirk brings over 20 years of experience and a wealth of technical expertise to the team, further strengthening our capacity to deliver innovative, sustainable design solutions. Elly will remain as a Director, supported by Michelle, Oliver, Islay and Kirk.
We would like to thank Matt and Rachel for everything they have contributed to Arbor Architects, and we wish them every success for their new life and practice in Devon!
