Updates from Site - October 2025
October has seen some exciting milestones across our live projects, with one scheme reaching handover and others entering their final or significant structural stages. Each project continues to evolve in its own way, from the fine detailing of the Vipassana Meditation Centre to the dynamic structural form emerging at NMITE’s Centre for Innovation and Future Skills.
Here’s a round-up of what happened on site last month.
Belmont Wanderers 3G Pitch
It’s handover time at Belmont Wanderers’ Southside project! The floodlights have now been connected, and the client team has completed their maintenance training, marking the final steps before the official handover took place on the 31st.
The new 3G all-weather pitch looks fantastic and will be a vibrant community asset ready for action. The surrounding grassed banks create inviting, informal viewing areas that will be ideal for spectators during matches and training sessions. We can’t wait to see the first game kick off and this space come to life with players and supporters alike.
Vipassana Meditation Centre
At the Vipassana Meditation Centre, attention is turning to the finishing touches, both inside and out. Externally, work is ongoing to complete the stepped access routes and landscaping around the building, carefully integrated into the natural slope of the site.
Internally, the rooms have been decorated and power has been connected, paving the way for the commissioning of the Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) system, a key step in ensuring comfort and energy efficiency within the accommodation block.
Practical completion is expected in the coming weeks, just in time for the first group of meditators to begin their courses at the end of November.
NMITE Centre for Innovation and Future Skills
Over at NMITE, the timber frame construction continues to advance, and the installation of the roof beams has transformed the structure, revealing the true volume and spatial quality of the new building. From the surrounding streets, the scale of the CIFS is now clear, and it’s been exciting to see the design taking physical shape.
One of our favourite aspects of this project is the pattern and symmetry formed by the four repeating quadrants of the structure, a striking feature that’s becoming more apparent as the build progresses. The project continues to move forward at pace, setting the stage for the next phase of construction in the months ahead.
Looking Ahead
With the 3G pitch now ready for play, the Vipassana Centre nearing completion, and the Skills Hub emerging above ground, October marked a month of visible progress across the board. Each project reflects a different kind of collaboration, from sport and community to wellbeing and education, and it’s rewarding to see them all advancing towards completion.
We’ll be sharing more updates next month as the Vipassana Centre reaches handover and NMITE continues to take shape.
